Inside This Issue:
Welcome to this week’s Employee Experience Magazine newsletter. And it’s a personal note from me, Esther, with an update on something I’ve been hard at work on the past few months.
I am particularly excited to share this weeks issue with you as I can announce that Something Different, our new directory of unusual team experiences, is now live. As my editorial inbox is increasingly flooded with AI stories, I feel that human experiences away from the computer are becoming increasingly valuable. And while AI can do incredible things and we should talk about how work is changing, I do feel that sometimes the good old-fashioned art of connection is becoming rarer to find. On top of that, we’re all having more strategy days than ever to adapt to the changing world of work, and change is ever more aggressive and constant in our every day working lives.
So, to inject a little human magic into our whirlwind work worlds, I want to offer you this directory of amazing experiences from specialists the world over who can each bring something unique you’ve probably never heard of, and better yet can help you achieve your employee engagement and leadership training goals.
You can browse by what you want to achieve, where your team is and whether you want it in person or virtual, and message the provider straight from the listing. Tansy Jane Dowman is also here, explaining why time in nature may help your people more than another wellbeing webinar. And check out more recent stories in our ‘In Other News’ section as well as a selection of industry events on both sides of the Atlantic ocean.
Featured Insights:

What could you do with the team that nobody has done before?
Leadership development with horses, beekeeping and clowning workshops for better communication are all in Something Different, the new curated directory from Employee Experience Magazine.
A few of the listings:
Monarch Tea Co.: For teams across the US and Canada looking for something different virtually: tea blending, tea and chocolate pairing, and tea basics with a sommelier.
Escape From The Meeting: a 60-minute virtual escape game played over chat.
Flower School with Chelsea Fuss: flower arranging sessions with a sustainable floral designer, for groups of 6 to 2,000.
SongDivision: teams write songs about company values and strategy with professional musicians, in person or virtual.
Does your team need another wellbeing technique, or somewhere better to be human?
Many wellbeing programmes ask people who are already overwhelmed by screens and back-to-back meetings to attend one more webinar or download one more app. Tansy Jane Dowman, founder of Tansy in the Wild, argues for a different starting point. She explains what changes when a team steps outside, and how to make the effect last beyond the day itself.
